Making my corridor:

Start off making a rudimentary shape that could become an interesting corridor shape. It helps to think about a doorway during this. Completing this part involves Edit mesh - Extrude and Mesh Tools - Insert Edge Loop Tool.
Here are the individual steps:
Step 1: Make a rectangle after going to poly modelling and clicking on the square. The orange bar shown is the one you want to be able to see for now.

Step 2: Use the insert edge loop tool and make smaller boxes at the end of each side. You will need to use the extrude tool for this.
Step 3: Extrude and then move the sides to make your desired shape.
Step 4: Next, use the insert edge loop tool to make the roofing for your corridor by adding lines. Switch to Vertex and move the points to the desired shape.
Step 5: After selecting the lines for the roofing and the sides of your corridor, extrude them and pull them out to make the walls, ceiling and floor.

Step 6: Duplicate the shape, make the corridor shorter and then wider using the extrude tools, you will need to select the lines on the end of the shape for it to work.
Step 7: Make a panel, edit its size and make some of the faces transparent. This makes a window for you to look out into space.
Step 8: Props: Here is where you would make props. Here is an un-textured hologram. ITs two squared of the same shape with the top face of one of the squares being extruded to be wider and to have a larger width. Then, stack the larger shape on top of the smaller one.
With the table, I wanted to add the planets in. What I did was make three small circles and texture them to a planet using a texture off the internet. I then added them into the shape. I then textured it with a transparent blue.
Part 9: Solar system: Moving on from this I added in a pane, textured it to have stars on and then duplicated the circles. After this, I repositioned them and resized them to make my solar system.

Part 10: Add more props and textures to decorate the room and to fill out the corridor.
